This recipe contains just 5 simple ingredients, is dairy-free and sweetened with a little pure maple syrup. It doesn’t skimp on flavor and gives you all the heartwarming cozy feelings!

We skipped the milk chocolate and opted for organic unsweetened cocoa powder. Cocoa is filled with naturally occurring antioxidants. It has been found to help with blood flow, reducing inflammation and lower blood pressure. Cocoa is also a mood booster which is no surprise to us because who could possibly be unhappy drinking hot cocoa? You’ll want to hop into matching pj’s, snuggle by the fire with your family and sip on this delicious drink. Not to mention its a great treat to leave for Santa on Christmas Eve! 😉

Vegan Hot Cocoa

Grab your pajamas and cuddle up with a warm cup of our velvety smooth, dairy-free hot cocoa!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or non-dairy milk of choice)
  • tbsp organic unsweetened cocoa powder
  • tbsp pure maple syrup
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Place unsweetened almond milk in a saucepan and heat over high heat until it comes to a simmer.
  • Whisk in cocoa powder, maple syrup and vanilla.
  • Pour into mugs and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Serve immediately.
